Cadet- Our old faithful! Caddie was the first
one to join the Tarcoola
team. A grand old gentleman, even the most paranoid of
parents smiles as they watch. He has taught 2yo’s to grandmas. With
his ‘happy chappy’ attitude Caddie teaches riders balance and
trust. He loves his lessons always trying to please. He has many
years experience and did pony
club and dressage before joining us three and a half years
ago. We feel very
privaleged to have him. Owned by Ally and Louise Benstead from
Kew we thankng for letting their old fellow retire with
us.
Academy-
Another integral part of our
team is 19 yo Rothwell Royal Academy. Academy like Cadet does his job with
pleasure. Always with his ears forward ready for the next person to
climb aboard. He instills confidence into his pupils and is like
Cadet, an incredibly valued member of our team. We thank Jamie and
Sonya Carmody from Scone for their generosity in loaning him to us.
Before joining us here he carried riders to royal, state and
national level wins in riding classes. Notably, he carried Jess
Stalling to 2001 EFA national junior rider of the year.
Robbie- Raleigh Cock Robin was a successful
show pony before retiring with us about 18 months
ago. His perfect manner and trustworthy temperament as well as his
workmanlike attitude has made him a pleasure for the kids to ride
and learn on. Robbie has competed at state and royal level
competitions also with success over the years and has also taught
quite a few kids at pony club. We thank Fran Fowler from Wauchope
for the loan of him.
CP Joel- Joelly another beautiful old boy really
needs no introduction. He has been seven times
Australian Arab Champion East coast Champion several times, won at
royals and state level shows as an arab and also as a show hunter
and carried riders to many wins in rider classes. Rachael was lucky
enough to have shown him for a couple of years for both his
previous and current owners. He deserves his well earned retirement
here where he is used as our advanced school horse. He is the one
that teaches the fly changes, shoulder in, half pass, and basically
how to press the correct buttons. We are honoured to have him
retire with us. Thankyou to Sandra and Nikita Ivlev.
Smokie- Old Smoke has been a part of our family since
he was 8. Now 25 he is retired from riding but will occasionally be
brought in for a lesson or camp. He has taught so many kids so much
over the years he deserves to live out his days as a babysitter and
companion horse. He carried both Rachael and her sister Lisa to
many riding class champions and supremes.
Theo- Our very successful and incredibly
special Theo has semi-retired from the show ring here and is used
only when needed for camps or lessons. Theo has a list of
credentials too numerous to list they include wins and placings at
State, Royal and national level shows. He is part of a very
successful family, with his four full sisters all being highly
successful at big shows too. He loves to be a part of the action at
camps and enjoys the few lessons he does.
