It's great to not be weather affected and as winter approaches be able to ride and teach longer hours then we have previously done. We also now have a walker that is almost finished and our Round yard now has a sand base. These excellent facilities make Tarcoola an excellent choice for high quality agistment and training for your horse/s.

Camps are alwyas great fun and are times that the kids will never forget. It is a huge learning experience and confidence builder. I have also tried to organise a boys camp for the fri/ sat the 10th/11th of July.

  • Our second Saddleclub was held on Sunday with 13 riders riding. It was a beautiful sunny day and I think all the kids enjoyed themselves. Thankyou all for coming.

A very very sad sale we wish Chloe and Leonie Ashby all the very best of luck with our special man. he will be missed dearly but we couldn't wish him to go to a better home.

  • Our first Saddleclub's were held on Saturday and were a huge hit!We plan to run these days once a month with our next one planned for Sunday the 28th of June. Unfortunately we had to postpone show club until hopefully next saturday the 6/06/09 as the weather was a little unfavourable! Its time that the rain we4nt away for a while i think!! Keep an eye on our website for confirmation of new dates for showclub and saddleclub. • 13/05/09- Saddleclub Saturdays start on the 30th of May. Already we have quite a few starters. Basically a monthly fun filled learning experience and confidence builder for the kids. I plan to incorporate horse care/ husbandry, saddling unsaddling, washing, brushing, leading, tying, catching etc. It will run for 3 hours with about 2hrs riding which will include confidence building games and the fundamentals of riding.

Please if you could let me know if you are interested or know someone that may be, kids don't need to have come for regular lessons or have ridden at all ( they will just go in the lesser experienced group) I can then organise my numbers and groups etc etc

    The cost will be $55.

    .
  • Showclub will also start the Sunday the 31st. Over the past few shows I have watched lots and lots of kids and think that they all would benefit from some extra practice in their ringcraft, workouts and practice of presentation without being in a competitive environment. I plan to run these days monthly and it is somewhere that they can learn these aspects of showing without pressure Sithrough to 3pm including a sausage sizzle for lunch. The kids will learn different presentation hints and tricks, they will also practice workouts and how to be seen on the circle as well as show ring etiquette and general ringcaft for a local or a bigger show. All in all I think that it will be a fun learning day that the kids will take a lot away from. The cost will be around the $70 mark. Please let me know if you are interested or know someone that is. Kids don't necessarily need to have regular lessons here.
