Horses are our passion!

At the age of 5, Rachael started riding. From such an early age it was clear that she had a burning desire and obvious love for her horses. This has been, over the years, combined with dedication, determination and support, allowing her to pursue a career in educating and training the young, old, nervous, confident and/or difficult horse AND rider. With her many years experience comes a philosophy that a horse will not perform at its very best unless it is treated with due respect and with a gentle but firm approach to handling and riding him. Her horses are her best friends.

Over the past 20 odd years Rachael has made her way through the ranks of pony club, local country shows and dressage competitions to now being a successful state and national competitor.

Now 25, Rachael prides herself on her positive, enthusiastic and friendly approach and attitude toward her pupils and horses alike.  

Tarcoola Equestrian Centre started operating 5 years ago. It is situated on the Pappinbarra River near the picturesque village of Beechwood in the Hastings Valley, a short 30 mins from Port Macquarie and 10 mins from Wauchope.  Rachael along with her parents Les and Robyn, offer high quality facilities that cater for agistment, breaking/training, individual lessons for all ages on your horse or ours, group rides if required, school holiday camps, 'Saddleclub Saturdays' (both camps and saddleclub are proving to be extremely popular), Pony Parties, as well as new and second hand saddlery. We occasionally offer very good quality horses for sale.
