History of Tarcoola

Rachael's riding passion began at the age of 5.  Along with her dad Les and sister Lisa, many hours were spent riding together on the family farm at Cowra.  For a few years, the family travelled to Pony Club events all around the Central West NSW.
It wasn't long before Rachael's passion for Showing was evident so at 8, her first show pony, Bindi Eye Petite was purchased. It was from here that her addiction for high level competition began.  Petite had been there and done that so was the perfect teacher to kick start Rachael's show career and ambitions.

At 10, a young pony, Warrawong Park Songbird was purchased and so the journey of two best friends began.  A fairly highly strung pony, Songbird in her early days was anything but easy.  Perseverance and determination prevailed through and they became a fantastic combination teaching and learning from each other.  They ended up making a formidable partnership which enjoyed many successes at local and state level competitions and training to medium level dressage.
Songbird taught that patience, kindness and trust are the ultimate keys to achieving the best result possible.
Since Songbird there have been many horses that Rachael has schooled and competed with success.  Each one has taught their own lesson, which has helped Rachael to form her own individual approach to training and handling.  Some notable ones would be Rathowen Reflective, Spanish City, Manorvale Lalique, Megawati, Heatherbrae Flash Jack, Rossington and Tarcoola Lord of the Rings.
From 2015 to present Rachael's main interests have turned to the Dressage Arena. She has bred, trained and successfully competed FEI Level dressage at local and state competitions with Tarcoola Furst Love and Tarcoola Hot Shot.
